User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050420 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050420 In Mail -> Compose, if one's address book has several e-addresses for one person (or several persons with the same surname, for instance) and one types the name into the address pane, all the addresses will come up. But if one clicks on one of the ones further down in the list, it will be the first one in the list that gets entered into the pane. I think this bug has only appeared in recent builds. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Ensure that there are several addresses for one or more persons called (say) Smith in your address book. 2. Open Mail -> Compose. 3. Type 'Smith' into the address pane. 4. Click on one of the addresses lower down in the list that has appeared. Actual Results: The first address in the list gets entered into the address pane. Expected Results: The address you clicked should have got entered. eMac G4, OS X 10.3.9. Classic theme.
There is a work-around: if the down-arrow on the keyboard is used to move the insertion point down the list of addresses, one of the lower ones can be selected and entered. But this is a long-winded procedure compared with just bclicking on the desired address.
