User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3 If you click on a message and that message has an attachment with a VERY long file name, the scrollbar on the message window (the upper right-hand window) vanishes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Send yourself an email and attach a file with a filename that is very long, long enough so that it will not fit in the attachment window. 2. Be sure you have enough mail sitting in your inbox that you would have to scroll to see all of them. 3. When your mail arrives, click on it. The scrollbar in the messages window (the window in the upper right) vanishes. Actual Results: The scrollbar in the messages window (the window in the upper right) vanished. Expected Results: The scrollbar should not have vanished. I can see how a scroll bar in the _attachment_ window might disappear, but it seems strange that the scrollbar in the messsages window disappears. I am using a stock Thunderbird 1.0.2 with no additional plugins.
In what is likely a related issue, when a message with a long attachment name is selected in the vertical (three column) view, the message pane expands to the full width of the attachment name, making the list of email messages unreadable. Clicking and draging the divider between the message list and the preview pane has no effect. To reproduce: Follow the steps as originally listed for this bug. Switch to Vertical View (View->Layout->Vertical View)
