Richard - are you using a firewall, and have you told it to let the new
firefox.exe out onto the internet?
-> invalid
This is a user problem (Firewall lentry has to be updated).

Steve

My firewall settings for firefox were set with the previous version of firefox
that I had loaded.

A genuine bug seems to be that the upgrade from firefox 1.0.2 to 1.0.3 seems to
overwrite your firewall settings (in my case, in Norton) so that they have to be
reset! ie. I was connecting fine to teh net whilst using 1.0.2

- Does that seem like a reasonable comment.
