User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1 I get an error, I think after sessions where I've used windows media player 9.00.00.3250 on win2K pro 5.00.2195 SP. 4. Reproducible: Didn't try
Please only report bugs from the latest version or better a recent trunk build. 1.0.1 is old -> invalid Please provide a talkback id if you still get this with 1.0.3. (Talkback should popup after the crash, submit the report and run firefox\components\talkback.exe manually to get the ID) Thanks

(In reply to comment #1) > Please only report bugs from the latest version or better a recent trunk build. > 1.0.1 is old -> invalid > > Please provide a talkback id if you still get this with 1.0.3. > (Talkback should popup after the crash, submit the report and run > firefox\components\talkback.exe manually to get the ID) I get this same error, and I have with every version of Firefox. Currently I'm running Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 It happens about 90% of the time I close Firefox. I leave my machine up for weeks at a time though, and only close FF to reboot or to free up memory. I am willing to work with someone to reproduce this bug under controlled circumstances.
it was originally closed because it wasn't reported as occuring in the current version of the browser, it now occurs in 1.0.4 Gecko/20050511 on my box, and on another person's box.

i did a simple test just now, I opened the browser, went to a bookmarked site with a random wmv movie trailer imbedded, and then closed it. it appears that this is easily reproducible. well, now it's at a different address. the instruction at "0x4b5c8e2c" referenced memory at "0x23aea0a1". the memory could not be read
"Pease provide a talkback id if you still get this with 1.0.3. (Talkback should popup after the crash, submit the report and run firefox\components\talkback.exe manually to get the ID)" Could you add the Talkback Id's to this report please.
