Greetings:

It would be nice to develop a Clam AntiVirus plugin/extension for the
thunderbird application. If I can get some freetime :| I would be happy to
volunteer or help more with this effort.

Thanks.
Bill.

I have added clamdrib to Thunderbird but I can not make it work despite having searched all over the net.
PLEASE, could you not include an antivirus scanner as standard for all of us using Thunderbird under Linux OS.

Mandriva 2009; System: Linux 2.6.27.19-desktop-0.uc1mnb; thunderbird-2.0.0.19

You should file that against the linux distro.
Plugin support was removed in bug 1508942.
There is of course still support for extensions (addons).
