Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; N; Linux 2.3.47 i686; en-US) Mozilla/m13 BuildID: 200022409 The selected item bar flickers, and selection does not move Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make a multi level bookmark menu (folder in a folder) 2. Click and hold the mouse button and drag it to the multi level menu, and place the cursor over the second level (don't leave it there long enough for the menu to expand) 3. Quickly move the pointer back to the top level menu, over Actual Results: The selection bar will stay on the lower level, and on the top level it will flicker between the multi-level and the other selection, the expanded folder remaining open. Expected Results: Moved the selection to the new item and close the multi-level menu.
err, build is actually 2000022409
I see similar results from my february 26th CVS build, linux 2.0.36, glibc 2.1.3, XFree86 3.3.5.
This looks suspiciously like a duplicate of bug 29400.
yeah, this definitely looks like 29400. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 29400 ***

h'm, this one actually came in before 29400 --feel free to switch the dup'ing, though.
Sarah -- I dupped them this way round because, in bug 29400, Hyatt said he knew exactly what was going on and how to fix it, so leaving that one open would theoretically result in a faster fix than marking it as a dup of this one would. But hey, you're the professional QA person, you decide. :-)
mpt: yeah, the General Rule of Thumb is to avoid making earlier bugs dups of more recent ones... but in this case, where the later bug has a greater chance of getting fixed/better description, i'll go for dup'ing this one. :-)
