User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2

The MSI does not correctly advertise Firefox when used in a GPO (group policy
object) as part of Active Directory. Shortcuts do not appear, Firefox is not
made the default browser (as seems to be the intended result of installation),
associations to .html files are not made, etc. Basically, nothing happens.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a GPO to deploy nightly firefox MSI build to a test lab.
2. Push it out.
3. Go to a test computer, and notice no sign of Firefox.
Sorry... this turned out not to be a Mozilla problem. :-(
However, the MSI does create two entries in Add/Remove Programs instead of just
one. This is perhaps cosmetic, but requiring two uninstalls to remove a program
seems ... broken.

That's bug 247884, fixed in Firefox 1.0.3

This is not a duplicate of 247884, as it does _not_ involve installing multiple
copies of Firefox, nor is it related to upgrading Firefox. The behavior is
observed when installing a Firefox nightly MSI build on a clean machine.

Mozilla is no longer offering or using an MSI installer, so this is moot.
