291960 - new RSS items cause new mail sound to be played but no other notification is given

In recent Thunderbird builds, the new mail sound seems to play when new RSS feed
items are retrieved. However no visual indication is given in terms of
notification on the Windows taskbar.

Although it is nice to know that new RSS feed items have been retrieved it is
somewhat confusing that it plays the same sound as new mail without providing
any other notification. Few a number of days I was somewhat concerned that
Thunderbird was retrieving new mail but not depositing it in any folders.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Thunderbird.
2. Make sure some RSS feeds exist.
3. Wait for new items to be retrieved from an RSS source. The new mail sound
should play.



Expected Results:  
Please consider either playing a different sound to distinguish RSS feeds from
new mail, showing some sort of notification on the task bar to identify that it
was new feed items that arrived, or provide the ability to disable the sound for
RSS feeds.
