Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3 When I download and save files to floppy disks, the download manager enters an infinite loop. Usually, someone else that uses my computer saves downloaded files directly to floppies. When I use my computer and I open the Download Manager dialog to view and 'clean-up' recent downloads, Firefox enters an infinite loop that continuously asks for one to insert a floppy into a:\. I don't know what floppy was used to save the files, because I'm not the one who saved the files. This is a major problem, because the only way to stop the loop is to ctrl+alt+del and close Firefox. This is very annoying as I don't always know that a floppy was used; thus, I unexpectedly encounter this problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download and save a file directly to a 3.5 floppy disk. 2. Remove the disk, and open the Downloads dialog. 3. The infinite loop is entered. 4. Press ctrl + alt + del to exit Firefox Actual Results: I encounter an infinite loop that repeatedly requests that I insert a floppy disk. Expected Results: The Downloads dialog should display the list of recently downloaded files. I would suggest that Firefox store the recently downloaded files' data in a file or cache that is stored on the hd (regardless of where it was saved to) so that it does not have to have a floppy inserted/present to open the Downloads dialog.

You should be able to work around this by clearing your download history. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 142664 ***
