It is more common for users to view Newsgroups with the Subject on the left,
followed by Poster - but more common for mail to be initially listed with the
Sender on the left followed by Subject.

Making the change in Thunderbird changes this globally. It would be sensible to
allow this to be preserved and stored per-medium (one for mail, one for news)
