Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4.5; de-AT; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050425 Mnenhy/0.7.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (OS/2; U; Warp 4.5; de-AT; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050425 Mnenhy/0.7.1

Trying to start the Calender (25.04.05 1.836.286 calendar.jar), which is part
of
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/releases/mozilla1.7.7/contrib/mozilla-1.7.7-os2.zip,
after
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/l10n/lang/moz1.77/mozilla-1.7.7.de-AT.langpack.xpi
is installed and the language set to de-AT, always results in an error message.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. modern theme
2. install language pack, restart Mozilla
3. select Deutsch (de-AT), restart Mozilla
4. start Calender

Actual Results:
"Title"-window opens up with yellow background:

XML-Verarbeitungsfehler: Unbekannte Entity
Adresse: chrome://calendar/content/calendar.xul
Zeile Nr. 395, Spalte 21:

   <menuitem label="&calendar.context.refreshserver.label;"
--------------------^

/* how can I attach a screenshot of that message, rather than having to type all
that stuff? */

Expected Results:
Calender starting up, as it does, when
Preferences->Appearance->Language/Contents->Installed Languages
is set to English (US)

This happens with every de-AT.jar, later than for Mozilla 1.7.5.
In Help:About the beforementioned Calendar version identifies itself as:
   Mozilla Calendar 2004040813-cal

By "upgrading" the "Calendar" portion within the file
  16.04.05 17.08 3.228.008 0 a--- de-AT.jar_1.7.7
with the following listed files out of
http://www.dur.ac.uk/p.m.weilbacher/Mozilla/de-AT-jar-1.7.6.zip,
which actually seem to originate around the time of Mozilla 1.7.1
(16...20.06.2004), I managed in the meantime, to get Calendar to work now also
with the language setting Deutsch (de-AT):

 Verzeichnis von Q:\175Fix\locale\de-AT\calendar
20.06.04 8.45 22.336 226 a--- calendar.dtd
16.06.04 10.14 4.311 233 a--- calendar.properties
16.06.04 10.14 1.982 235 a--- categories.properties
16.06.04 10.14 3.299 235 a--- dateFormat.properties
16.06.04 10.14 2.186 230 a--- email.properties
16.06.04 10.14 4.877 229 a--- menuOverlay.dtd

So far I didn't notice any bad side effects, but the problem should be fixed
with future language packs, to avoid this kind of tinkering.
Related to Bug 247797?
As Robert is using the trunk for his calendar strings (because people on other
platforms install that version from XPI) some problems are inevitable. So this
is a dupe of 247797.
