Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.install ff & jre as admin 2.restart 3.login as a regular user 4. visit a java applet Actual Results: nothing. java does not show anything.. (nothing in the systray either) Expected Results: the applet/javavm should start and dispay the applet the mozilla suite doesn't have this problem..

Is this still a valid bug? Try to confirm it with a nightly build http://www.mozilla.org/developer and report back whether this issue is still pertinent. Otherwise, this bug will be marked INVALID for for inactivity in excess of 60 days (pre-1.0.4). I am self-assigning to track this bug and will reassign to original owner if this bug is still valid.

Christian are you able to reproduce this with Firefox 2.0.0.3 or later and the latest version of the JRE (I believe, 1.6.0 Update 1)?
