User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1 Subject says it. The dialog comes up, says: "Import Preferences, Bookmarks, History, Passwords and other data from:", and then the two buttons "Cancel" and "Next", but nothing else. Pressing "Next" does nothing interesting. Pressing "Cancel" closes the dialog as it should. Importing from Bookmarks Manager does work, but also has a problem. It will not "see" dot-files or dot-directories. So you can't go into, say, the old ".mozilla" directory to get the old bookmarks. IMO, this is also a bug. Reproducible: Always Actual Results: read description Expected Results: read description
You need to use the bookmark manager to import bookmarks [bookmarks -> manage bookmarks -> in the bookmarks manager window -> File -> import. The settings importer in File -> import in the main window is still under development for Linux.
I suspect that the file picker uses the gtk settings for showing hidden files.
