User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; fr-FR; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; fr-FR; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3

while selecting the text of a long ftp address (ex. :
ftp://200.49.92.157/ / . %d .aux 1.59 / . %d .aux0 1.53 /. %d .com3
2.91 / ;[[]]; / ;[[]].;. /[[]]) to paste it in my favourite ftp client, the
whole page gets selected and it can sometimes crash firefox.
This appends when the selected text zone (starting to select from the right to
the left) touch the ftp link (in my exemple ftp://200.49.92.157/).
This may result of the presence of "space" character in the address

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create an html page with any ftp address that looks like my exemple and open
it with firefox
2.try to select the address text
3.crash does not append every times

Actual Results:
whole page is selected
sometime a crash appends

Expected Results:
only select the text i wanted it to select

Mozilla firefox generated errors and must close...
Please attach either a testcase (via create new attachment) or add a testcase URl.

Plase also do this :
- test with a current nightly build because FF is to old
- also be sure that you either test in the safemode or without installed extension
- provide a talkback ID from that crash with the nightly build
(run Firefox\components\talkback.exe manually to get the ID)
