If I'm using one FF window for a "long" time, my keyboard layout (BE (Azerty))
flas back to Qwerty.

This happens for no apperant reason and only happens in Firefox. My OS still
indicates Azerty as the keyboard layout.

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

I have never been able to reproduce the problem as I don't know what causes it.

Might be related to Bug#: 268878.
Did you use "alt+shift" by an accident which changes the windows Keyboard Layout
to english (it's an OS function) for just the active application ?
Something similar happens to me from time to time.
Up to now I thought that I had typed Alt-Shift by error, but now I wonder.

It's typical that the icon in the task bar is displaying the desired but not the
effective keyboard choice, *even when firefox is focused*. I have difficulties
to get back the correct keyboard, needing to cycle through all keyboards with
alt-shift, or first select with the mouse another keyboard, and then the correct
one again.

I open a thread about that in news:netscape.public.mozilla.i18n
Is OS feature as said in the comments.

I do not think it is an OS issue. I have the thing too. In OS everthing stays normal, i.e. Azerty. After closing down FF & restarting it, it returns in Azerty mode.
