User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; ru-RU; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050502 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; ru-RU; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050502 Firefox/1.0+ When I selecting the message in message window it is displaying in preview pane with delay about 5-7 seconds. During this 5-7 seconds Thunderbird consumes about 95-97% of CPU time. I've found the regression window: http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/nightly/2005-02-18-07-trunk/ThunderbirdSetup.exe doesn't have this bug http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/nightly/2005-02-19-05-trunk/ThunderbirdSetup.exe have this bug. I'm using Windows XP SP1 with all patches applied and Kerio Personal Firewall 4 if it matters. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Thunderbird 2.Try to open message 3. Actual Results: It displayed in preview pane with 5-7 seconds delay. Thunderbird consumes about 95-97% CPU time during this delay Expected Results: It displayed almost instantly.

This is displaying Thunderbird consuming 95% of CPU when I'm selecting other message in message list.
is this every time you change messages? Do you have any extensions installed? I'm not seeing this behavior.
(In reply to comment #2) > is this every time you change messages? Do you have any extensions installed? > I'm not seeing this behavior. Yes, it happens every time. I've tested with fresh profile - it makes no difference. Bug still present with fresh profile. Also I'm going to test tomorrow on my work with Windows 2000 machine.
(In reply to comment #3) > Also I'm going to test tomorrow on my work with Windows 2000 machine. I've tested builds on Windows 2000 SP4 and I don't see this bug. I tried almost everything possible with my home Windows XP machine (remove and reinstall drivers, shut down all services and programs, install Windows XP SP2) - no effect. Bug still present. Also I've tested Mozilla Mail latest trunk - bug doesn't present, so it looks like Thunderbird only. I'll try to reinstall Windows XP from scratch on week-end. May be it helps.
I've reinstalled Windows from scratch and problem is gone. Marking WORKSFORME.
