To reproduce 1. Open a blank tab 2. Open another tab with a site that takes a while to load, try http://www.warp2search.net 3. Once the site starts loading close it 4. Look at the statusbar You will see that the statusbar bar still has the last action that was being performed by the other tab, like "Reading.." or "Waiting for..". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

Hey Gavin, First of all I appreciate that you added me to the CC list of that other bug :) But they're essentially not the same ones. This one seems to affect Firefox only (and not the Suite). Plus, I'm not sure what that bug is about, the first comment talks about javascript tickers.. then the more you dig in it also kinda discusses this issue. So as I said, it is WFM in the Suita but not working in Firefox.

Duping a bug automatically adds the reporter to the other bugs CC list. In any case, while the other bug is in the "core" component, the tabbrowsers are actually forked between Firefox and Seamonkey. That bug takes care of all such issues, you'll notice it has many Firefox dupes similar or the same as yours. Any fix there will likely be a global fix, so theres generally no use in trying to have seperate bugs for each variation of the symptoms.
