Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; Q312461; www.ASPSimply.com; Smart Explorer 6.1; .NET CLR 1.0.3705)
Build Identifier: 1.0.3.0.

I got an in-browser message for a critical update for Firefox. The update was
for version 1.0.3., which I downloaded and installed. I can no longer open
Firefox at all, it crashes before it opens. I rebooted, re-installed, to no
avail.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Attempt to open Firefox using either the shortcut or the .exe
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Immediate error message from Windows - "firefox.exe has encountered a problem
and needs to close..." etc. Firefox does not open.

Expected Results:
Firefox should have opened as normal.
Please run the firefox safemode (using the Firefox safemode link in the windows
startmenu) and if that works deinstall your extensions. FF safemode is just FF
without extensions/Themes.

-> invalid (wfm and bugzilla is not for support questions. Please use the
mozillazine.org Forums for that)
