Details
Menus should not close when you click on a menu item which expands into a sub-menu. To reproduce: 1. Click on View menu tab 2. Click on Toolbar item Actual result: menu closes, nothing else happens Expected result: submenu should expand/pup up Of course, the submenu appears automatically on mouse-over. Sometimes it takes a fraction of a second though, in which you might be tempted to click the menu item. NS 4.7 on Linux (and Gnome apps I've looked at) simply ignore the click over a submenu item. Don't know what the expected behavior on other platforms is, so this might be Linux-only. Linux build 2000.02.25.08

i see what you mean --this also occurs on seamonkey on winNT (this morning's opt comm bits). and the 4.7x behavior on winNT is the same as you've stated with 4.7x on linux. added 4xp keyword. (only relevant to menus on linux and windows, not mac, afaik.)
Keywords: 4xp
