Details

Similar to other de-sheeting requests, the Create Filter sheet prevents you from
looking at the message you are trying to filter, making it very difficult to
select your criteria.
Confirm. Don't know about "sheeting", but this used to work under earlier
versions. Worst is when trying to look at message *source* and filters at same
time. I usually filter on message header fields (like "Return-Path:"), and need
to see them in source form.

Yes, this was fixed in TBird 2.0, thanks for pointing it out.

In what way is this either wfm _or_ fixed? There are two ways to get to "Create Filter": Message - Create Filter From Message, which creates a sheet parented to (and thus blocking) the 3pane unless you're cunning enough to trigger it from the standalone message window, and Tools - Message Filters - New..., which creates a sheet parented to (and thus blocking) the Message Filters dialog.

It's WFM in that case. I agree that the sheet created from the message menu is not WFM. The reporter agrees with it being WFM.
