Details

All of the components in the Grendel component needs their owners changed. All
of the people listed don't work on Grendel anymore. Here's my proposal (still
up for debate so assigning to myself until we're final):

Component                  Owner                    QA
===============================================================
Addressbook/LDAP (non-UI)  talisman@anamorphic.com [generic QA]
Preferences                rj.keller@beonex.com    [generic QA]
Protocols                  talisman@anamorphic.com [generic QA]
User Interface             rj.keller@beonex.com    [generic QA]

We also need Grendel to not be listed as a Dormant project on the Bugzilla
products page. Grendel's reborn :D.
Scratch away that proposal. Let's make me the default assignee for all
components of the Grendel project. People are starting to file bugs and I'm not
getting them so it'd be great to have this fixed ASAP so I don't have to be
monitoring Bugzilla queries all the time.
Assignee: rj.keller → asa
for my reference

Edit component... Description Initial owner QA Contact
Addressbook/LDAP (non-UI) 	<none>	edwin@woudt.nl 	edwin@woudt.nl
Preferences 	<none>	grail@cafebabe.org 	grail@cafebabe.org
Protocols 	<none>	edwin@woudt.nl 	edwin@woudt.nl
User Interface 	<none>	grail@cafebabe.org 	grail@cafebabe.org

rjk: please provide descriptions for these components :)

asa approved. note that to get grendel moved out of the dormant category
requires asking justdave, and it also requires suggesting a new location (i
presume you want client software, but please do specify).

also, if you want placeholders, you'll have to suggest them

i'd propose:
addressbook@grendel.bugs
protocols@grendel.bugs
preferences@grendel.bugs
ui@grendel.bugs

if you're ok w/ both the new category and those qa contacts, feel free to
indicate that, and hopefully justdave can affect those changes.

Yes, Client Software would be the most appropriate place for Grendel.

Yes, that sounds great! I also got some descriptions for those components:

==Addressbook/LDAP (non-UI)==
- Issues with the Grendel Address Book that does <strong>NOT</strong> include
user interface issues. Those should go under <em>Grendel: User Interface</em>.

==Preferences==
- Problems with the preferences back-end code. This includes preferences not
being saved, issues retrieving preferences, problems applying user settings, and
other back-end issues. User interface issues should be filed in <em>Grendel:
User Interface</em>.

==Protocols==
- Grendel protocol issues (like problems using SMTP, NTTP, POP3, or other
protocols Grendel supports) should be filed here. Problems include issues
downloading from a certain protocol or protocol specific issues.

==User Interface==
- Any issues with the Grendel user-interface. This includes issues displaying
the main Grendel window, Address Book window, or dialogs.
I do not object against getting removed as owner/qa contact.
Good luck with grendel!
