We want to be able to create reminders from email messages, to trigger at some
point in the future.  (And maybe from tasks or events as well?)

The message reminder function is very helpful.  In order to build a clean
interface with consistant behavior, it would also be good to use the same "type
ahead control" that is used when writing a message in Thunderbird. This way
multiple recipients can be chosen and the full address book is made available.

Unfortunately, I do not have cycles to work on Calendar stuff these days (just as it's getting to the good part!), so I am a bad owner for these bugs.  To delete the tragically-large chunk of bugspam, search for gregorianabdication.

At least the basics are there... probably an auto-generated event without opening the event dialog would be ideal. Calendar core or Extension fodder?

I think this should start out with an extension if someone wants to step up. We need a more complete concept for converting messages to events (i.e make use of calIRelation, better integration of events into mail features (i.e "attach an event" in the compose window)) before we can decide if this makes sense.

Lets leave the bug open but mark it as extension fodder for now.
