Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050506
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050506

Since early May, the nightly builds have reduced the width of the scrollbars
(vertical and horizontal) to about 1/16" from what is normally about 1/4" - also
typical of most Windows applications. It is very difficult to position to mouse
cursor on the scrollbar. This problem shows up in all windows except the e-mail
list window, which has a normal width scrollbar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Mozilla
2. Open a page that needs scrollbars
3. Try to find and use the scrollbar - very difficult

Actual Results:
Initially it looks like there are no scrollbars in most windows. When you look
carefully you can find a very narrow scrollbar that can be used if you are
careful and precise.

Expected Results:
Scrollbar needs to be much wider for ease of use. A 1/4" seems typical.

I went back to the builds of 4/29/05 and 4/22/05 and they do not exhibit this
problem. Builds of 5/3/05 and 5/6/05 do have the problem. While the program
certainly can be used like this, it really interferes with comfortable internet
activities and I think it will drive people away if it is not fixed.

Interestingly, the scrollbar on the right side of the e-mail list does appear to
be the right width.

This sounds somewhat similar to bug 245671, but that was filed last year and
this problem just appeared a few days ago, so I don't think they are the same.
