User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 any animated gif icon, anywhere on the web or on my harddrive, is always displayed as a single non moving picture. As if it were a jpeg icon. Netscape all versions, Internet Explorer, on PC, Mac and Sparc show animated gifs moving. Is there a plugin pr extension I am missing? where do i get it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. go to any web site with animated gifs. For example www.alpzyham.se 2. just look at the little guys just standing there! they are doing the "wave" with other browsers. 3. Actual Results: I cannot find anything to do. I tried copying *.dll files from Netscape 7.2 to Mozilla... nothing happened, not even a crash. :-D Expected Results: animated gifs should move once, or continuously. this is one of many problems. Preferences often does not open fully, left column visible, right side blank.

wfm with FF1.0.3 and also with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; de-DE;
rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050507
Please try the safemode (close FF und use the FF safemode entry in the windows
startmenu) or create a new profile ("Firefox.exe -profilemanager")
marking wfm because it works for everyone else and bugzilla is not for support.
Please ask in the Mozillazine.org forums if you need help.

ups, you are using the Suite (somehow the bug header wqas set to FF in my initial loading). ignore the safemode part in comment#1 Be sure that Edit\preferences\Privacy&Security\images are set to "as many times as the image specifys" If that doesn't help use create a new profile.
