Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050504 Firefox/1.0+ WFM, I deleted it by moving it to a ded folder, and it still showed up. Moved the ded folder out, and then it doesn't show up, and has now selected another plugin.

Moved > the ded folder out, and then it doesn't show up, and has now selected another > plugin. I tried your solution which didn't work for me and after a bit of moving, the google search around I was unable to access any searches even after I restored the google search. I then had to run the FF 1.03 installer again which restored the search engines including my added extras but this time creative commons became the "bad boy" and I was able to delete google and every thing els that I didn't want except Creativ Commons. I guess this means that the problem is in FF and not in the Google search engine.
