User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050428 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050428 In "quick search", the only folder that can be searched by Recipient is the "Sent" folder. Other standard folders and all backup folders allow only searching by Sender. In the Tools/Search Messages dialog, Recipient is never one of the values to search on, only Sender. In the Tools search, both should always be choices to search on. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the Inbox or a backup mail folder such as 2005MarchInbox. 2. Select Tools/Search Messages to get the mail search window. 3. Click on the search criteria widget to get the list of search criteria Actual Results: Note the absence of Recipient as a choice for search criteria. Expected Results: Recipient should be one of the search criteria choices for all message folders at least in the mail search window, if not in the "quick search" box for all message folders.
You can search for recipient in the mail search window, it's named "To" there. The quicksearch issue is a duplicate of bug 256545. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 256545 ***
