This is sort of a spin-off of bug 293486, the testcase is nearly the same, except I now use width instead of min-width for the link. I've also exaggerated the -moz-outline-width, since the amount of shifting the link does in the testcase seems the same as the outline-width.

Link still moves with both these builds: - Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/2006120606 Minefield/3.0a (pre-reflow branch) - Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/2006120804 Minefield/3.0a1 (post-reflow branch) However, the layout of the black squares had changed between pre and post reflow branch landing.

Yeah, things changed with the landing of the reflow branch, but it is still not perfect. The testcase here looks very similar to testcase2 of bug 293486.
