I've many IMAP accounts (over SSL), and I expunge and empty trash when quitting.
So, durins the closing time (which is quite long), the window seems to be
crashed (but is not)
By the way, gnome prompts me to force kill the app.
So, you could add a wait message, or progressbar, to let the user know that the
exiting is in progress
