Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) Build Identifier: Firefox 1.0.3 I downloaded the latest version of Firefox 1.0.3 and it intalled with no problem, but when I try to open the browser, whether I double-click on the icon or once on the quick-launch bar, a message pops up with the browser blank, and it keeps popping up whenever I say "OK" then after the page finally loads, it goes to this url: http://www.google.com/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official here is the error that would keep popping up: firefox.exe - Entry Point Not Found The procedure entry point? TonewUTF8String@@YAPADABUnsAString@@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library xpcom.dll This error pops up (5) times before the browser loads, and after that, it pops up no matter where I click on the page, even on right-click. (The only place it doesn't come up immediately is on the top blue bar of the browser, where I have to double-click before it comes up) I'm no pro, so I don't touch dlls no matter how many duplicates I have, so I don't know how it went missing, or what the error's really about. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click or Double click on any browser icon, including safe mode Actual Results: error pops up followed by blank browser browser eventually loads after I click "OK" on error five(5) times Expected Results: browser to go to my set home page

From comment https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=247443#c6 I suggest redownloading firefox and reinstalling (uninstall existing version first). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 247443 *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 247443 ***
