When you say "up", is this the same as "along to the right" -- "upto", or
are you seeing some vertical movement?

I think that I am seeing what you are, but I am not sure what the expected
behaviour is: When we change a <td> into a table caption we will change the
size and position of the table, I would expect undefined behaviour.

Yes, I meant up to (vertical movement)

That's odd (unless I'm still misunderstanding) as for me, it moved to the right
(the tr's width kept expanding, while the td's width stayed the same, judging
from DOMi).
Jesus Christ, you should ignore me when I'm sleepy :)

The cell expands vertically and moves horizontally (to the right).

Could somebody enlighten my why on earth this should block 1.8b3. This scenario
is rather excotic. Or please show me one reputable page that uses such a voodoo.
This shouldn't be blocking any releases for the foreseeable future.
