(The Firefox 1.1 nightly from May 10th, 2005)
Similarly to bug #293601 (where switching tabs does not alter the address bar
URL content), switching tabs from a site (i.e. slashdot.org) which has an RSS
feed detected and thus turning on the icon in the statusbar, to a site with no
feed detected (such as this one) still leaves the icon. However, only in sites
with feeds does clicking on the icon does anything.

In conjunction with the aforementioned bug, I tend to think that the mechanism
which operates when a tab loses focus (or rather when another gets it) is highly
screwed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the browser and go to a site whose RSS feed is detected by Firefox (i.e.
www.slashdot.org)
2. Make sure the feed detection icon appears
3. Switch to another tabs

Actual Results:
The icon stays put, but clicking it does nothing

Expected Results:
Removed the icon, unless a feed was detected

Works for me.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
