User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2

Using Hotmail or Yahoo email editor at their site has a rich text format option
to use in composing messages. It will not work in Firefox. Normally when you hit
respond the message is copied into an edit box and the message you are
responding to has Greater than signs in front of each line. In Yahoo this seems
ok but in Hotmail Firefox spells it out like "<br>&gt;" This looks like html or
something.

In IE under tools in Hotmail you can turn RTF on and off. Hotmail in Firefox
doesn't even show the option. Yahoo under Firefox just doesn't give you the RTF
interface but the selection in mail options is there and checked.

Also when trying to highlight text in messages Firefox does something funky
almost like it is working backwards. Rather than highlighting from your
beginning point with the mouse down to where you are ending the drag, it
sometimes starts to highlight then as you drag down it is unhighlighting what it
just highlighted.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open up hotmail or Yahoo
2.Initiate composing a message
3.In hotmail look under tools for RTF
4.In Yahoo go to options and select compose messages in graphics and color.
5.Try to compose a message.
6.Respond to a message in Hotmail and notice how it handles the ">" symbols.
Actual Results:
You see the problem I described at length above.

Expected Results:
This should be intuitively obvious....The RTF option should be available and it
should work. When responding to a message, each line of the copied message
should be preceeded with greater than symbols to delineate the message you are
responding to.

It would be nice to hear back about this. I have been trying to promote Firefox
as a more secure browser than IE but these problems are definately a deterant to
usint Firefox. I find that I constantly have to open up IE just so I can read
the message I am trying to respond to. After a while I start feeling like it is
such a pain that I'd be better off using IE full time again. I really don't want
to do this since I have developed a hate for Microshit and have lost all respect
for them...(:D)
