With so much database layer stuff going on, it would be nice to have a database
component against Bugzilla on BMO.

do we want a general one for the compatibility layer and one for each driver?  I
can't imagine the drivers are all going to wind up supported by the same person :)

ideally we should have a database field, along side hardware, os and version.

i think that adding components for each supported database is an overkill.

I think the best thing to do for now is just to have one component for things
that deal with soley the database backend, and don't have to do with other parts
of Bugzilla.

We can assign it to [e-mail], and then more than one person can
watch it. I don't expect the volume of bugs filed in this component to be very
high. We also need to make it clear in the description when a bug should be
filed in this component -- that is, almost no end-user or bugzilla sysadmin
would usually file a bug directly into this component. (An explanation like the
"UI" component has would probably be appropriate.)

justdave: any movement on this?  there's been quite a few PostgreSQL specific
bugs raised recently.
