User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; it-IT; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; it-IT; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 until firefox 1.0.2, if I open a popup, it opens correctly. from firefox 1.0.3, instead, popups never open, so I can't use many functions on many sites (example: gmail). I tried to enable popups for that sites, but the result is the same Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click to a link which opens a popup Actual Results: nothing Expected Results: should appear a popup
This works for me Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr-FR; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4. Could you get more details on how to reproduce. Try with a new profile http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile and tell me if it works.
http://www.yvr.ca/ I have an example of the problems I'm getting. Go the site above and try to open real-time arrivals or departure information. A window opens up (a process is started) but the window doesn't exist, or isn't visible. ie. after closing the www.yvr.ca window, the pop-up is not visible, but it must be killed manually, in order to start firefox again. This happens to me in Windows and Linux. Happens with all sorts of other sites as well. I'll try with a new profile and let you know.
Ok, a new profile fixes it...but I don't want to import my old profile, that's too much work! What part of my old profile is causing this nasty problem?! My mom's computer has the problem as well.
I tried to change the profile too, and works correctly. However I don't want to create a new profile because I have many informations like passowrds and cookies in this profile. What reported David is also for me. Often, when I close Firefox and I restart it later, it doesn't start because there is an other firefox's process running and I need to kill it manually.
Maybe it is extension you are using. You could try unintalling them. If you identify the source of the problem. Please reopen the bug. You can get help here http://www.mozilla.org/support/.
