(Whiteboard: There is no new Java code in 1.04)
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 I was browsing a newsletter (http://tinyurl.com/ccez)that I receives from http://www.military.com when I noticed your symbol for an available critical update. I downloaded and installed v1.04 and returned to my newsletter. But now the links in the newsletter would jump to a blank page and fail to load anything. I closed the blank page and tried a number of other links (ones that I had used with v1.03 and ones not previously tried). I also tried closing the web page and reloading it. Still, no links worked in v1.04. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Load the newsletter 2.Try any link 3. Actual Results: Nothing happens Expected Results: loaded the full version of the story mentioned briefly in the newsletter.

Do you use a firewall ? and if yes: Did you reconfigure your firewall because the Firefox.exe changed ? Did you try to clear the disk-cache ? Did you try to run Firefox in the Firefox safemode ?
