User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Load http://www.weather.com/weather/local/60004 then Click 10-Day forecast. When page loads Click Back. Firefox crashes. Performing the same procedure in Mozilla 1.7.8 produces the same crash. There seem to be a number of recent talkback results showing this problem. I believe talkback id 5786783 is one of mine. Search talkback on url: www.weather.com for the past few days and about 200 similar crashes appear. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open http://www.weather.com/weather/local/60004 2. Click the 10-Day forecast button. 3. Once the 10 Day forecst page loads click Back. Actual Results: Firefox crashes (XP reports a crash; Talkback opens) Expected Results: Loaded the previous page. Talkback implicates js_FoldConstants

Dupe of/related to bug 272286?
-safe-mode: No Change (crashes). New profile: Crash does not occur in mozilla 1.7.8 or firefox 1.0.4. Tinkering with various settings in both the UI and about:config let me solve the problem with the current (old) profile in mozilla. In firefox, I had it resolved for only one or two tries; then it crashed again. I think the issue is related to turning on single window mode ( user_pref("browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs", true); )but I can't find any pattern now.
(In reply to comment #3) > Dupe of/related to bug 272286? That seems likely. With both the new profile and a "cleaned up" original profile, I can reproduce the crash on weather.com on some visits to the page, with a restart of the browser in between. So my thought that it was related to single window mode seems incorrect. Talkback now has about 189 js_FoldConstants crashes at www.weather.com in the last 3 days on both windows and Mac OS X.
