Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050513 Firefox/1.0+

The automatic update of extensions freezes with no progress and no way to cancel
if "allow websites to install software" option is disabled.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install an extension
2. Wait for it to get out of date
3. Disable "allow websites to install software" (Prefs -> Content)
4. Press blue update arrow or go to Prefs -> Advanced -> Updates -> Check Now

Actual Results:
Freezes with progress bar up,

Expected Results:
Displayed a dialogue requesting the user to allow websites to install software,
or showed an error or something.
I can confirm that the same thing happens on an XP SP2 box.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511
Firefox/1.0.4

Changing the pref to allow websites to install software makes everything work as
expected. More of an issue now that everyone was told to change that
preference!!! Does this same issue occur for 1.0.3 users wanting to upgrade to
1.0.4 and not just extensions???
