hard code associations, this should be in a configuration dialog or file.

brad, I checked this in to the mozilla/widget code: http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsview2.cgi?diff_mode=context&whitespace_mode=show&file=nsWindow.cpp&branch=&root=/cvsroot&subdir=mozilla/widget/src/windows&command=DIFF_FRAMESET&rev1=3.564&rev2=3.565 You should now see hardware function keys through the dom.
