User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Before installing 1.0.4 I uninstalled 1.0.3 and removed the Mozilla Firefox directory in its entirety. To my surprise, and contrary to the installation notes, all extensions and preferences (profile) were reinstalled. For what it's worth, I have MozBackup installed. There's anothr peculiarity, which I think belongs here: Several, but not all, my desktop URL shortcuts, and new ones created by dragging the bookmarks icon to the desktop, no longer work unless Firefox is open ("no association for this file") Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Firefox 1.0.4 2. Click on desktop icon, get error 3. Open Firefox 4. Click on desktop icon, opens page Actual Results: see above Expected Results: Good question. Actually, having the extensions automatically re-installed appears to me to be a good thing, but the installation notes say otherwise. However, desktop shortcuts to URLs should open Firefox.
It appears that 1.0.4 is failing to associate any of the HTML extensions.
