Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/412 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/412
Build Identifier:

I like to close the application window to leave thunderbird running in the back ground. When I re-open the
window, the grouping bars display non-ascii/garbage characters. Occasionally Thunderbird will crash
instead of re-opening the application window.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Thunderbird
2. Click the X in the upper right hand corner or press CMD+W
3. Go to window and select "Mail & Newsgroups" or press CMD+1

Actual Results:
The application window re-opened with garbage characters in the grouping bars. Occasionally the app
crashes.

Expected Results:
The application window should have re-opened with the standard grouping titles.

Screen shots of the characters in the grouping bars will posted at http://people.emich.edu/tlebert/
screenshots.htm ASAP. The text that Apples Problem Reporter will be provided at http://
people.emich.edu/tlebert/applecrashtext.html
I've seen this bug running TB 1.0.2 on an iMac G5 and a Powerbook 667. Love the
grouping feature, please fix it. Thanks
i have seen the bug too on MAC OSX 10.4.2 with thunderbird 1.0.6.
what about trunk 1.1a2 builds?

Yep. I just downloaded the latest Tbird from Mozillazine (version 1.0+
(20050712)) and it still has the same bug.
