At least under Linux, I'm told that I need to install "Math1, Math2, Math4" when
I have the Mathematica 4.2 fonts package installed. The simple workaround is to
change font.mathfont-family to use Mathematica1, Mathematica2, Mathematica4 in
place of those three. The page linked to [1] by the MathML page [2] lists the
4.2 fonts first and, as far as I can tell, there's no reason not to use them.

Reproducible: Always
It seems that the simple solutions are:
1) replace the 4.1 names with the 4.2
2) include both and don't warn the user about the missing families

The more complicated and better solution seems to be loading the families listed
and then checking to see if all needed glyphs are present. If not, warn the user
that they're missing fonts.

Perhaps this should be delayed until after the page is rendered. That makes
things simpler since you can just set a flag before rendering and then check it
afterwards. It would also warn the user once per page and only when actually
needed (currently it's once an instance and always).

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
