You need to add an open option in the browser for exe extensionwhen you 
download. I get tired of always having to download it first then run it from my 
hard drive.

Reproducible: Always
This is by design, to stop less-informed users from installing trojans/viruses
by mistake. You can still run the exe files from the download manager.
