There is an exemple http://ha.ckers.org/imagecrash.html how system crash when
fire fox loads image more bigger than it is.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
I think software has to block image resizing, which images size is loading more
bigger than it is in original image.

What Do you mean with full system crash ?
It hung my system for a minute or two with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT
5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050509 Firefox/1.0.4
It doesn't hang at all for me with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0;
en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050515 Firefox/1.0+ ID:2005051518

After this bug to continue work with pc you have to restart pc.

And big note: This bug is only in windows firefox.
With Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr-FR; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511
Firefox/1.0.4 it hangs my system to long i had to restart. With Mozilla/5.0
(Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050516 Firefox/1.0+ it
hanged 2 or 3 seconds the first time I loaded it. Then when i reloaded it works ok.

I see an other problem. When the image is displayed using the html page it is
all black. When i use the view image option (http://ha.ckers.org/imagecrash.jpg)
the image dispays correctly. (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050516 Firefox/1.0+)

In fact the bug does happen when i display the image directly
(http://ha.ckers.org/imagecrash.jpg).

In comment #1 I told wfm, as I got no crash or hang, but only a white
background, scrollbars, and PageInfo telling me something about images
10000000px * 10000000px sized.

Loading http://ha.ckers.org/imagecrash.jpg I get a 640x480 sized image, resized
as my setting is 800x600 screen resolution.

Firefox shows me the source of the jpeg-file, when I press Ctrl+U or select View
Source:

Some Ascii text embedded in binary bytes:
...Exif...Canon...Canon PowerShot S100...2002:12:15 17:26:11...
IMG:JPEG file...Firmware Version 1.1

... means some arbitrary characters, or just no character seen, but I couldn´t
copy the parts I marked separated by ... with one selection
IMG:JPEG file...Firmware Version 1.1 is looking like IMG:JPEG fileFirmware
Version 1.1 but can only be copied as IMG:JPEG file and Firmware Version 1.1
You are seeing the JPEG exif informations but view source shouldn't be enabled
for the image itself and it isn't on Mozilla.
You could create a seperate bug for firefox...
The testcase itself displays black but that's ok with that dimensions but I
can't see a crash.

Bug 294383 view-source shows source of image
This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

reporter: if your system actually blue screens, provide the .dmp and i'll
investigate. otherwise your system probably didn't really crash and i'd like to
squish this bug.
