Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4 I had Firefox 1.0.4 installed, and whenever I would open mozilla from an external link, no page would load and the application would be in basic freeze. I could still use the Minimize/Maximize/Exit buttons on the top right, but the toolbars are inaccessible, and the page area is blank. I tried reinstalling 1.0.3, and then uninstalling and installing 1.0.4, it doesn't work for this either. I can (usually) open it from a shortcut, though even that doesn't always work. However, using "-safe mode" does always work to at least get the browser open. Once it opens and works, I have no problems navigating around. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Use link from other source (eg; messenger program MSN/GAIM/AIM/ICQ) 2.Mozilla Opens Incorrectly and remains inaccessible Expected Results: Opened normally
Also, this is a recent problem, It's only begun in the past week. I tried a system restore to a date where it worked, and no such luck to make it work. Internal links are no problem. I've had no problem opening new browser windows from a Firefox internal link.

This is wfm for me on win2k3 and for many other people. That would make this bug wfm (and bugzilal is not for support questions) but "However, using "-safe mode" does always work to at least get the browser open" makes it invalid because it's now clear that one of you installed extensions caused this. The safemode is just Firefox without extensions/themes

Yes. This indeed was a bug caused by extension "Deepest Sender" for livejournal.
