User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050427 Camino/0.8.4
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.8) Gecko/20050427 Camino/0.8.4
Visit www.macromedia.com or www.audicanada.ca and the first page shows up with
the QT/question mark symbols. Tried removing QT prefs but no productive change.
Sites reproduce this bug whether the sites are visited from a bookmark or a URL
query.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.enter http://www.macromedia.com (for one of a number of examples)
2.when page opens the quicktime symbol shows where media ought to be with a Qmark.
3.visiting with safari doesn't reproduce this problem (media works appropriately).
[I'm using 0.8.4 Camino, and QuickTime 7 (pro) on a G4powerbook]
Actual Results:
media doesn't show, play or reveal
Quicktime symbol shows up with question mark over it.
Expected Results:
the media should play, show or be revealed
i called Applecare for support but since the safari browser was able to put up
the QT media, the specific problem of Camino was unadressable (3rd party clause).

works for me. are you on tiger?
I would assume that the files on macromedia's page are flash, which QT claims it
can handle, but AFAICT not very well. Check that QT is set to _not_ handle flash
files (System Prefernces->Quick Time->Advanced->MIME Settings...).

This is a QT bug...see comment 2 for how to fix QT so that it does not to steal
Flash files from the Flash plugin.

Reading comment #2 fixed the problem, for now. I'll see if it happens again.
