Has this component been completely ditched in favour of the quick-search in the upper right hand corner? In fact, it appears as if the sidebar has been effectively neutered to the extent that 3rd-party sidebars can no longer be installed. Once you have a bookmark you can view the properties and check the load in sidebar check mark. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 213236 ***
