I have been using Firefox for a while and it was working o.k. when I shut the 
machine down last evening.  Today all I can get is an error whenever I start 
the program "The program must close to allow a previous installation attempt 
to complete. Please restart."  

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select shortcut or select program from programs list
2.Error comes up.
3.I find a 6500 kd program active in the task list that usual cannot be closed 
without re-booting.

Actual Results:  
Nothing, I have to reboot.


I removed Firefox 1.04 and re-installed, same problems.  I removed 1.04 and 
installed 1.0, same problem.  Firefox will not run on the PC.

Does it work if you start Firefox in safe mode (start menu/all programs/mozilla
firefox/firefox safe mode)?
