294649 - Can't subscribe to or read rdf files

When trying to subscribe to the above file, I get to "Verifying the feed", the
progressbar gets full, and there it hangs. The file is validated, and readable
through http://www.2rss.com/news.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. News & Blogs -> Manage subscriptions
2. Add
3. Feed URL: http://www.jspwiki.org/rss.rdf
4. OK

Actual Results:  
The progress bar is shown and filled. Then nothing.

Expected Results:  
Subscribe. I have many other working subscriptions, such as
http://www.theregister.co.uk/headlines.rss

Worksforme, linux, tb version 1.0+ (20050518).

Same thing here; I am observing the same problem here on windows xp. The feed is
valid RDF but apparently thunderbird wont load it succesfully. The relevant feed
uses <RDF:Seq /> for listing RDF resources (just plain RSS item(s)).

I've got three non working feeds as well
http://www.heise.de/security/news/news.rdf
http://www.heise.de/newsticker/heise.rdf
http://www.heise.de/tr/aktuell/news.rdf

I'm using Thunderbird 1.5 Beta 2. 
With TB <= 1.5 Beta 1 they worked.

With version 1.5 Beta 2 (20051012), the RSS at http://www.jspwiki.org/rss.rdf
works. 

On the other hand, the RSS mentioned in Comment #4 don't work. They hang at
"Verifying the feed".

The current version of  <http://www.jspwiki.org/rss.rdf>  does not validate
at <http://feedvalidator.org/>.  However, as reporter noted in comment 5, 
TB 1.5b2 (and 1.6a1 as well) can subscribe to the feed without hanging.

There were several RSS-parsing bugs fixed between the 1.0.x branch and 1.5, I don't know which this is a dupe of, so:  => WFM


The problem with the heise.de feeds is noted at bug 313422.
