User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3 Using the Langdon/Leahy image replacement technique to build a horizontal menu, I keep running into a rendering error where the images that are replacing the text don't appear until I switch to another tab and switch back, or hover my cursor over where the images should be. For the purpose of this example, I've mirrored a working example of the effect I am trying to achieve that was first demonstrated on simplebits.com )http://www.simplebits.com/notebook/2003/09/30/accessible_imagetab_rollovers.html) To see the working example, browse to http://www.nextdesigns.ca/menu_test.html. The underlying XHTML is simply a logo and menu, where the menu is a simple list of links that is styled with CSS and the aforementioned image replacement technique. To see the failed example, browse to http://www.nextdesigns.ca/menu_test_fail.html (be sure you clear the cache by holding shift when you refresh the page). The images won't come up until you switch to another application or tab and switch back, or hover over the images with the cursor. The difference between the two pages is the logo <div> in the XHTML has been removed from the failed version. This unrelated chunk of XHTML has to appear with the menu, or else the images won't load properly. I remember having difficulty with the PC version of Firefox when i was fooling around with this technique, but I no longer have access to one so I can't be sure. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit http://www.nextdesigns.ca/menu_test_fail.html Actual Results: Page popped up, but the menu images did not. Expected Results: The images should have successfully replaced the text in the menu

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
