I am trying to open emails from IMAP folders (I have let's say 10 folders and
some sub-folders). Whenever I try to open email in more then 3-4 folder, I can
not see anything in-there like I don't have anything. But if I close the
program, then opening again and clicking on other folders than priviously didn't
let me see anythin, I can see the content. It's like that Thunderbird doesn't
cache and update the content for more than 3-4 folders at once. Same behaviour
with Mozilla Suite.

Reproducible: Always

I have no lost emails. If I move emails from the "cached" folders to the ones I
can't see their content, the emails are moved. But I can only see the emails, of
course, only after closing/opening again Thunderbird.

I have also had this problem.
I have around 25 folders and find that some folders are empty, Closing and
re-starting TB sometimes rectifies the problem. Multiple restarts are sometimes
necessary.
I have changed the value for "Maximum number of server connections to cache"
from the default of 5 to 1.
Now all folders refresh each time and I can see all emails.

bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
